Pricing & engagement models

Every engagement is scoped and quoted to your roadmap — we don't sell fixed packages or commodity hourly seats. Below is how we structure work, what drives the cost, and where to get ballpark figures while you wait for a tailored proposal.

How we work together

Engagement models

Dedicated team

A long-running, senior-only squad that works as an extension of your org, with CET/ET overlap. Best for ongoing product development. Billed monthly per allocated engineer.

Staff augmentation

Individual senior engineers embedded into your existing team and process. Best when you have the roadmap and need capacity. Billed per engineer, monthly.

Fixed-scope project

A defined deliverable with an agreed scope, timeline and price. Best for well-specified builds and integrations. Milestone-based payments.

Fixed-scope MVP

A production-ready MVP for founders, scoped to a fixed budget and timeline so you can raise or launch. Typically 8–16 weeks.

What you get either way

Included in every engagement

Senior-only engineers

No junior bench-warmers on your budget. Every person on the SOW can own a system end to end.

Compliance baseline

GDPR-aligned delivery, ISO 27001-aligned controls, SOC 2 Type II in progress, HIPAA-capable. NDA, DPA and SCCs are stock paperwork.

Code & IP ownership

You own the code and IP. Clean handover, documentation and repository access are part of delivery, not an upsell.

Security in the pipeline

Pen-tests, SBOMs and SCA scans are part of the release process — not a separate line item bolted on at the end.

Predictable delivery

Feature flags, detailed code review, continuous delivery and honest timelines. We ship behind gates, not over walls.

Response within 1 business day

A senior engineer — not a sales rep — replies to your first message within one business day.

Why we quote per project

What drives the cost

Two builds that look similar from the outside can differ several-fold in real cost. We quote on the factors that actually move the number:

Scope & complexity

Number of user roles, integrations, real-time features, and the amount of custom business logic versus off-the-shelf.

Compliance & security

HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC 2 or GDPR-grade data residency add design, testing and audit work that a non-regulated app doesn't carry.

Team size & seniority

How many engineers, which disciplines (backend, mobile, ML, SRE), and how much architectural ownership you need from us.

Timeline

Compressed timelines need parallel workstreams and more people, which changes the economics versus a steady pace.

Platforms

Web only, native iOS + Android, or cross-platform — each adds engineering surface and QA matrix.

Existing assets

Greenfield versus extending or rescuing an existing codebase changes both risk and effort.

Cost guides

We publish detailed, current cost breakdowns so you can sanity-check a budget before talking to us. Your tailored proposal will be more precise — these are honest market ranges with the assumptions spelled out.

Pricing FAQ

Do you publish fixed hourly rates or packages?

No. Senior engineering is priced on scope, seniority mix and compliance needs, so a flat rate card would either over- or under-charge most clients. We give you a clear, itemised proposal instead — usually within a few business days of an initial call.

What's the minimum engagement?

For dedicated teams and staff augmentation we typically work in monthly cycles. For fixed-scope work, MVPs usually run 8–16 weeks. We don't take on micro-tasks — our model fits product builds and ongoing engineering, not one-off tweaks.

How do payments work?

Dedicated team and staff augmentation are billed monthly per allocated engineer. Fixed-scope projects use milestone-based payments tied to agreed deliverables. Terms are set out in the SOW under your master agreement.

Who owns the code and IP?

You do. Full IP and code ownership transfers to you, with repository access and documentation handed over as part of delivery. Every engagement starts under NDA.

Can you work fixed-price if scope isn't fully defined?

We can run a short, paid discovery to define scope, then quote fixed-price for the build. Quoting a fixed price on a vague brief helps nobody — it leads to padding or change-request friction. Discovery removes that.
