How we score an idea — on 5 axes, with no "probability of success"

A single success-probability number is misleading. We give an honest read on five axes, each with a rationale — so you can see where the idea is strong and where it needs work.

DemandReal search volume for the demand phrases in your market — is anyone actually looking for your product.
Competition5–8 real competitors with a verified domain — how crowded the market already is.
ComplexityHow hard it is to build the MVP — format, integrations, regulation, technology maturity.
MonetizationIs the revenue model clear, and are the people you're building for willing to pay.
RisksWhat could kill the idea — legal, market and product constraints.
Where the demand figures come from

The model extracts 10–15 search phrases from your description — the queries people would use to look for such a product. Each phrase is checked against search-volume data and the report shows the real numbers for the market you pick. We make a point of not inventing figures: if there is no demand for a phrase, we'll say so — that is an important signal too.

How competitors are verified

The model proposes possible competitors for your idea, and each one is checked for a live website. Non-existent companies and made-up brands are dropped — only 5–8 real players with a working domain and a short description make it into the report. So you see the real market, not a flattering one.

What goes into the MVP scope and the cost range

Based on the breakdown we propose an 8–12 week MVP scope — the features you cannot skip to test the product on the market. The scope is compatible with the structure of our spec generator: move the features there with one click and get a ready document. The cost range is computed from our development price book.

Why there is no "probability of success" number

A startup's outcome depends on execution, team, timing and market — you cannot boil that down to one percentage, and a neat number only creates false confidence. That's why we give a read on five axes with a rationale and links to the figures. This is a breakdown for making decisions, not a fortune-teller.

Do you store the idea description

No. The idea description is used only to build the breakdown and is deleted after the report is sent. The only exception — if you explicitly opt in to share the idea with a YuSMP specialist for a free consultation; then the description is attached to the request. This tool does not build a financial model, unit economics, an investor search or a pitch deck — it is about demand, competitors, scope and cost.
