Location, dentist, service and time in four steps
HealthTech · Dental · iOS + Android
A patient app for a premium dental clinic: book a dentist in four steps, view medical records with visit notes, lab results and CBCT scans, pay invoices with reward points, track a rewards program and get visit reminders. We designed the product and built a 73-screen clickable prototype you can walk through right in the browser.

In short: what the product is and who we built it for.
Medline is a concept mobile app for a chain of premium private dental clinics. Patients need one tool instead of calls to the front desk, paper printouts and scattered receipts: book a visit, understand the treatment plan, pay an invoice and not miss an appointment.
We designed the whole product and built a clickable MVP prototype. It is not a set of static mockups: screens are linked, and fields, toggles, bottom sheets and error states all work, so the client and future users can go through the flows as if the app were already installed.
The clinic needed to show its owners and dentists what the app would look like before development started. The goals were to test the booking and payment flows with real people, agree on the MVP scope and get a solid basis for estimating timeline and budget.
Key requirements: booking without a phone call, a clear medical record instead of a stack of paper, transparent invoices and rewards, and a calm, premium visual language that matches the clinic.
Four-step booking. The patient picks a location, a dentist or specialty, a service and an open time slot. If the chosen day is full, the app immediately suggests the nearest available slot or another dentist.
Medical records. Visit notes, prescriptions, reports, lab results and a treatment plan with costs per stage. A CBCT scan opens in a viewer, and documents can be sent as PDF by email or to another dentist.
Payments and rewards. Invoices per treatment stage, payment by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, up to 30% payable with reward points, and cashback on every payment.
States and errors. The prototype includes empty states, loading, no connection, a wrong SMS code and a patient account not found, so the dev team sees the full product behavior, not just the happy path.
We worked from flows to interface. First we mapped the patient journey from first sign-in to a repeat visit, then broke it down into screens and states. Every screen is built from components of a single design system: buttons, cards, bottom sheets, fields and statuses are reused, which makes the prototype easy to iterate on.
The prototype is built as a web app and opens via a link on any phone or computer, with no install and no Figma account. For MVP development we recommend cross-platform Flutter for iOS and Android, a Laravel backend and integration with the clinic's practice management system (PMS/EHR), which supplies dentist schedules, documents and invoices.
Static mockups show what a screen looks like, but not whether a flow is easy to complete. A clickable prototype shows how many steps booking takes, where a patient might get lost and what happens on an error. These questions are much cheaper to answer before development than after the app is built.
The prototype doubles as a working spec: developers see every screen and state, the analyst checks requirements against it, and the client shows it to dentists and patients to collect feedback before a single line of code is written.
Key capabilities that solved the business problem.
Location, dentist, service and time in four steps
No phone call, with a reason picker
Visit notes, lab results, prescriptions, treatment plan
3D scan viewer and PDF sharing
Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and reward points
Balance, earnings and refer-a-friend
Visit reminders, ready results, invoices
Key prototype screens, step by step.

The home screen shows the next appointment with the dentist and room, quick actions and the rewards balance. From here the patient can reschedule, open details or book again.
Below are ready results and outstanding invoices, so the most important things are visible without digging through sections.

The last booking step: a calendar and the dentist's open slots, grouped into morning, afternoon and evening. The total price is shown before confirmation.
If the chosen day is full, the app suggests the nearest open time or another specialist, so the patient never drops out of the flow.

Visit notes, prescriptions and reports live in one feed with filters and search. Each document opens in the app and downloads as PDF.
The Results & Scans and Plan tabs show test results and treatment stages with costs and payment status.

The invoice lists treatment items and the total. A toggle applies reward points to part of the amount, and cashback is credited right away.
Patients pay with a saved card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and the receipt is emailed.
The prototype opens in your browser, no install needed. Walk through the flows yourself: screens are linked, and buttons, fields, sheets and error states all work. It is best viewed on a phone; on a desktop it is shown inside a device frame. The prototype interface is in Russian.
The app handles medical records and scans, so sign-in is protected with an SMS code and Face ID, and the medical record unlocks only after the patient links the account ID issued by the clinic's front desk.
In development, personal and health data processing follows the client's jurisdiction: GDPR in the EU, HIPAA and applicable state privacy laws in the US. The exact security setup is defined with the clinic during the design phase.

Yes. The prototype link is on this page. It runs in a phone or desktop browser, no install needed.
It depends on the MVP scope and the integrations with your practice management system. Based on a finished prototype, we estimate timeline and budget within 1–2 business days.
Yes. Dentist schedules, medical records, documents and invoices are pulled from your PMS/EHR via API and shown to the patient in the app.
A prototype of this size usually takes two to four weeks, including flow analysis and the design system.
